December? Crap!!!!!

I'm awful. I'm terrible.

This is the list of stuff waiting to be sewn:

October bee blocks (for shame)
December bee blocks
PJs for the children, before (a) it gets too warm for flannel; and (b) they grow out of them
Chardon skirt
Anna/Charlotte love child
The rest of the Meadow
This scarf, made more manly for my Dad

And what am I doing? Pretty much nothing but sitting on the couch under a dog.

Please tell me I'm not alone.

  1. No, you're not alone. I find it makes a very good excuse for not doing stuff!

  2. My cat is asleep in my sewing cupboard, on top of my hand sewing hexagons, and my daughter is monopolising my sewing machine... So I'm just reduced to reading blogs to see what everyone else is up to...or not ;-)

  6. You're definitely not alone, but I don't have an adorable big dog to blame. I was off all last week and was going to bulldoze through a bunch of Christmas presents, but did I???? Nooooo, I didn't. I did get my keychain collection (all 50 of them) in their shadowboxes before my daughter, the gifter, came over for Thanksgiving dinner. She's been giving them to me for years, so I consider that a gift done for her because she can see that I really do love them and want them to be seen! I will try to do some sewing done today
before going back to the dreaded work tomorrow....

  7. Hehe I'm not doing too bad, but then my list isnt that long!
The best project I have right next to me is hand stitching this quilt, so I can veg out under it but sew at the same time, thats multi tasking!! Though I still have parcels that need posting.
ps. this is why I dont 'do' bees, I like to go at my own pace x
    Keepsnuggling!

  11. I am sure it is warm under that dog, a good place to be as winter approaches. Good luck with the list, but enjoy the rest too.

  13. Not alone. I think the longer the list is, the slower we go!!

  14. I think Catherine's got the right idea about the long list thing. They tend to send my mind swirling with options that leave me frozen. Not under a dog, but still under something...

  17. Laughing at Alison's comment! I'm not sitting under a dog but there's little progress here either.

  18. I sit under a dog quite regularly, even if I'm at my sewing machine.....

  19. Archie's not allowed on the furniture so I don't have that excuse but I feel like I'm doing very little at the moment while at the same time being very busy - not sure how that works, though! If there's anything I can do to help out, please shout! Take care x

  20. "And what am I doing? Pretty much nothing but sitting on the couch under a dog" ....classically awesome quote there.

  21. I'm just wondering around in a daze pretending it's not all happening !

  22. But the face on that dog? How could you possibly move?

I find having two cats very convenient, usually at least one of them can be convinced to pin me down. Forcing me to snuggle on the couch. It's a rough life.

  23. I'm also sitting down on the settee, but under a laptop rather than a dog - nice and warm but not half so affectionate.

  24. I can relate! A few moments of peace before the hustle and bustle of December gets underway in full is worthwhile.
