Head in the sand...

Or at the very least, buried in fabric.

My work situation is a little uncertain at the moment, for all sorts of boring reasons that I won't go into. Although I have a shed-load to do it seems that what ended up happening instead was a little bit of stitching. I'm playing around with some Field Study to make a shop sample for Annie. This is such a beautiful fabric line. Gorgeous colours, and such a fantastic mix of prints. It's pretty much the definition of eclectic. Just a sneaky peek for now, but I'll show you more when it's done.
I have also got my Pervalong bundle in my hot, sweaty hands. I love it so, and I can't wait to get started. I'm very excited that I will have some lovely people along for the ride with me - for a minute there I was terrified that it would be a huge flop and I would be a giant Billy-no-mates! Phew.

In other news, I am now the proud owner of the world's most spectacular dog-walking wellies. Just because they are going to get covered in mud and assorted other crap doesn't mean that they shouldn't have glitter, that's all I'm saying.
Spectacular, right?

Happy weekend, one and all!

  1. Really hope the work situation resolves itself in the best way for you. Lucky you playing with some Field Study - look forward to seeing what you do!

  2. Hi! Sorry to hear about your work problems, I hope they resolves soon. Your project looks exiting and oh how beautiful colours you have in that fabric bundle!
Great wellies - wish I had those too to get my puppies out in winter rain!
Wishes from now sunny Greece! x Teje

  3. ha ha...always got to have glitter ;-) hope the work situ becomes less uncertain x

  4. Sweet boots!!! I thought mine were cool - yours rock. Can't wait to see your creation for Annie - it looks devine already :) You rock girlfriend!

  5. I give you 6 months before you're in 'boring' but comfortable green Aigles, so you can walk the requisite miles in them without blisters!! ;-) Can't wait to see the Field Study sample - I can't decide if I like that line yet....

  6. ps, couldn't resist any longer, went to look at the price of the pervalong bundles......

  7. Fab wellies!

Can I ask you to check your Kona card for me? I cannot resist the pervalong. I have been trying my best from the Robert Kaufman website, but without the colour card actually in front of me, this risks being a technicolour nightmare:

Magenta, Plum, Lupine, Carnation, Dusty Peach, Putty, Celery, Cactus, Peridot, Clover

  8. I think I see field study feathers...
An uncertain work situation is not fun (I know from experience), hope everything will become less uncertain soon!

  9. TOTALLY cool boots! Always have glitter, excellent!
(Hope work resolves soon)... and great fabrics :)

    1. thanks! It should all be sorted this week, but you never know :-/

  10. I want your boots! But in bright pink I think!

Hope the boring old job gets sorted and we get to see what mischief you have been up to on the Field Study!

  11. I like your boots too...looking forward to seeing your finished Field Study piece:) Happy Weekend!

  12. Bugger on the job, you just keep sewing along though, looking good so far!

As for the wellies, I don't have glitter but I have leopard print ones and zebra ones (a pair of each, not one of each ;o) )

  13. Love those greens and blues. Gotta love a bit of sparkle too!

  14. I hope everything works out for the best regarding your job. --your AMH WIP looks amazing! :) Also you said "wellies" and it made me giggle. :)

  15. Bummer about work, hope it gets cleared up soon.
Love the wellies and your pervy fabric picks xx
