I'm on it!

I finished the top and basted on Sunday, and am about a third of the way through the quilting. She hasn't seen it yet. Looks like I might just make it in time!
I put this burst of activity down to the fact that I have started running again, for the first time in years. I used to run quite a lot - about 4 miles three times a week - but fell out of the habit a few years ago. Ever since then I have wanted to start again, but never seemed to be able to get off my backside to do it. I'm glad I have. It makes so much difference to my mood and my energy levels. I can take on the world when I have been for a run. There is also the added benefit of being able to eat more without feeling like a pig. Bonus.

Let's see if I can keep it up!

  5. The quilt is gorgeous, lovely stitching. You are super fast too, very impressed.

I eschew any kind of high impact exercise as I have an unfortunate looking-like-a-beetroot tendency. Swimming has a similar effect on me though, really clears the mind and energises me! I suppose I should make this the week I finally get to the pool ... !

  8. I'm glad I'm not the only nutter who enjoys running. I ran a 10k on sunday morning, then made a lemon drizzle cake and ate half of it - oh the joys of calorie burning exercise! Lovely quilt BTW, I adore Anna Maria Horners fabrics.
